7 simple summer drinks for your take-away menu

Simple Drinks with Big Impact As consumers, we see many take-away food services starting back tentatively and gradually increasing their offering as they get to grips with the new circumstances. For cafés, a great build to the paired-back coffee menu is the addition of a small selection of easy-to-prepare seasonal drinks.

If you're not quite ready to dust off the blender and fill up your cream whipper, the summer drinks ideas below could be just what you're looking for. We've pulled together our favourite simple, non-blended recipes. Not only are they all fast, efficient and delicious, they all offer up some pretty attractive margin potential too!

Cold Brew Infusions

Prepped in advance, cold brew teas and coffees are the perfect, quick and simple serve this summer. Just swap the glass for a takeaway cup and watch your customers walk away with a smile!

Iced Coffees

If you can make an americano, latte or cappuccino, you can just as easily make it over ice.

Cold Foam

A touch of chilled milk foam takes an iced coffee to the next level. It's pretty simple too. Simply froth skimmed milk until stiffened using one of our Aerolatte frothers and spoon it on generously.

The video shows a hand held Aerolatte, but for higher capacity and speed you might also want to consider the new Aerolatte automated frothing jug. Simply fill with skimmed milk, press the button and get on with other tasks while your foam is created.

Superfood Powders

Superfood latte powders like chai, turmeric and matcha remain as popular as ever. Their versatility for use in hot and cold drinks, plus simple preparation, makes them ideal on a paired back seasonal menu. This recipe is one of our particular favourites, with the added indulgence of Abyss white chocolate powder. Delicious.

Fruit Milkshakes

These are pretty simple too. Just pair DaVinci real fruit smoothie mixes (choose from peach, strawberry, mango or summer fruits) with skimmed milk for a summer shake taste sensation.

The video shows a hand held Aerolatte, but for higher capacity and speed you might also want to consider the new Aerolatte automated frothing jug. Simply fill with skimmed milk, press the button and get on with other tasks while your foam is created.

Chocolate Milkshake

For a more indulgent shake, simple swap the smoothie mix for chocolate powder mixed to a paste. With our 40% Chocolate Abyss, you can skip the cream and still savour the velvety mouthfeel of a luxurious drink.

Again, the video shows a hand held Aerolatte, but for higher capacity and speed you might also want to consider the new Aerolatte automated frothing jug. Simply fill with skimmed milk, press the button and get on with other tasks while your foam is created.

Simple Syrups

It's amazing what you can do with just a few pumps of syrup in water. The iced tea in this video tastes fantastic yet comprises of just 2 syrups, ice and tap water. That means amazing margin potential and just a few seconds to prepare.

But the real fun is in the experimentation. Consider other syrup flavours, sparkling water, soda and real fruit garnishes. The choice is yours.
